LGU ANGELES CITY AND LRN FOUNDATION PARTNER FOR BARISTA TRAINING
May 5th, 2025
With the growing love for coffee of both young and old now a days. On May 5, 2025, the Angeles City local government, in partnership with LRN Foundation, Inc., hosted a barista livelihood training program at the LRN Training Center. The session was facilitated by LRN Training Center Barista Trainer, Mr. Ace De Guzman, and Training Specialist, Mr. Jemar Bernardino.
Mr. De Guzman provided the 29 out-of-school youth from Angeles City with a comprehensive, hands-on training that covered basic barista concepts. To help them get started, LRN Foundation distributed starter kits to each participant, which included a French press and 500 grams of coffee. With these tools, participants can brew at least 25 cups of coffee as a starter and eventually grow it as they go along. LRNF hopes that this initiative will empower them to pursue a small livelihood home-based selling coffee within their communities. May the young brew with passion and reach their dreams of becoming successful someday.
